Cetus From a Distance

Katie Kenney

The night of the century has just begun

hypothermia hovers, your incisors sharp

all paranoid thoughts are brought up

then exhausted, as the sky settles to stars

small points of glowing centuries

as exponential time stuns the eyes

for the blueprint of all life, from the scorpion

stinger to the lion’s mane, decrypt all descendent

life

to dictate the darkest seeds of history

when each snag was writhed

from downy silvered sky.

Boltzmann's entropy formula:
S = k. log W
